You’ll find thousands of slot machines scattered throughout Las Vegas, which gives you an opportunity to play many great games. But eventually, you’re going to want something to do beyond spinning the reels. And here’s a look at 4 Vegas activities that don’t involve slots.
1. See a Vegas Show
It sounds cliché, but there’s nothing better than seeing a show or two when you’re in Sin City. This is especially the case when you consider that there are some fantastic acts here, including Cirque du Soleil, Celine Dion, Diana Ross, Penn & Teller, Willie Nelson, and many more performers.
2. Check Out the Hoover Dam
Whether you see it from the sky or on foot, the Hoover Dam is always worth a visit. Located 30 miles from Vegas, the Hoover Dam features the beautiful Colorado River on one side, and a steep concrete drop on the other. It all adds up to quite a spectacle when you see it in person.
3. Visit the Neon Museum
Over the years, Las Vegas has become known for its neon casino and hotel signs. Of course, many casinos have changed up their style and ditched dated neon signs for bigger spectacles. And when the signs of the 50s and 60s have to go, they end up in the Neon Museum.
4. Visit the Mob Museum
If you’re the museum type, another good attraction for you will be the Mob Museum. This building houses may reminders of Vegas’ past, when casino resorts were run by gangsters like Sammy the Bull, Johnny Bandana, Benji the Claw, Vinny Carwash, and Tony Bagels. Eventually, the Nevada state government and police would run the mafia out. But there’s nothing like revisiting this era when you’re in Vegas.
